Apply for Membership — SmartSNG.Dev
The Association is open to everyone who identifies as a software developer, regardless of skill level. Membership is free of charge. There are two types of membership — the differences between them are described in the Charter. In short:
Member of the Association
This is your default status upon joining. It is free, with no membership fees. The application form is at the bottom of the page.
Honorary Member of the Association
Granted upon application to the Association’s committee. The main requirement is recognized authority, exceptional professional skills, or extensive experience in organizations with a strong reputation.
Applications are accepted in free form. From your message, we should be able to learn the following about you:
- Your full name.
- Your professional title. What do you consider yourself to be professionally? This point is barely moderated — for example, you can write “Java Developer” or “QA Engineer”. The key is that it reflects your current activity.
- Your current place of work, if applicable. Even better if you include a link.
Optional information:
- A link to your photo (you may also attach it to the email).
- A short public bio for your member page, so others in the community can get to know you better. The format and tone are up to you — just keep it under 500 words and make sure it does not violate the laws of any countries where our members reside (currently, mostly former CIS countries and North America).
- Links to your social profiles, such as LinkedIn or Telegram.
- Profile visibility preference. By default, profiles are private. If you'd like, you can opt to appear in the list of public members of the Association. At the end of your message, you must explicitly state that you agree to the Charter of the Association, the rules, and the terms of personal data processing.
The application review period ranges from 2 to 30 calendar days, depending on the type of membership.
